Wallpaper book club – Albany Imagination

Imagination is a playful wallpaper collection designed to spark creativity and bring walls to life. From charming animals and lively botanicals to smart plaids and shimmering metallic accents, each design captures a sense of wonder and delight. The collection balances variety and versatility, blending fashion-forward statements with timeless classics, perfect for creating spaces that inspire both children and adults alike.

Above:  Regal Beasts

Regal Beasts is unapologetically theatrical. Inspired by a gallery wall, it is an exuberant menagerie of animals portrayed as aristocratic sitters, dressed in period costume and captured in gilt frames against a deep navy background. Foxes, dogs, birds and big cats peer out with knowing expressions and every portrait is rich in detail and humour. This is maximalism with wit and Regal Beasts is great for spaces where character is welcome. It is ideal for a study or home office, where its conversational quality brings energy and light-heartedness to the room.

Above: Bow Damask

This pretty design offers a romantic reinterpretation of classic damask, weaving together tradition and delicacy in equal measure. At its heart is a formal, symmetrical structure based on historic pattern-making, but the familiar regularity of damask is softened and enlivened by charming, unexpected details. Elegant ribbons, vintage keys and pocket watches introduce a sense of nostalgia and storytelling whilst butterflies, ladybirds and bees flit between floral garlands and botanical flourishes, bringing the design a romantic lightness.

Above:  Brushed Geo

Brushed Geo is a confident abstract design where geometry is softened by the expressive quality of free-hand painting. With a feeling as though the pattern has been painted directly onto the wall it has an artistic energy while retaining an architectural framework. Brushed Geo works particularly well in spaces where a strong visual identity is desired. We see it working well in living rooms and open-plan areas, where it can anchor a seating zone and bring cohesion to contemporary layouts. It could be equally effective in a home office or studio, where its artistic undertones create an environment that feels creative and focused. In a hallway or entrance, it would make an immediate impression, setting the tone for the rest of the home with confidence and clarity.

Above: Cherry Blossom

We see Cherry Blossom working particularly well in bedrooms, where its gentle, climbing rhythm and spring-time references encourage relaxation and rest. Used behind the bed or across all four walls, it creates a calming, cocooning atmosphere that feels timeless rather than trend-led. It iwould be equally well suited to a guest bedroom, where its pretty elegance offers a welcoming, restorative backdrop.

Above: Full Bloom

When it comes to styling, we think Full Bloom works best when it is allowed to take centre stage, this is a wallpaper that rewards confidence. The design is densely layered with intricately illustrated florals and foliage with a deep, saturated ground that gives the pattern depth and grounding. Unfurling leaves and blossoms overlap and stems intertwine, creating a sense of abundance that feels immersive. What elevates the design further is the metallic detailing, delicately tracing petals and veins with a fine, reflective shimmer that catches the light and adds a note of opulence.

Above: Safari Symphony

Safari Symphony champions a more expressive approach to interiors. It invites us to embrace pattern and to create rooms that feel lived-in and joyful rather than overly controlled. What defines this as a maximalist wallpaper is its sense of movement and abundance. There is always something new to notice: a chandelier hidden among foliage, a bee mid-flight, an animal posed with theatrical intent. The pattern is skilfully balanced – the repeat is fluid, allowing the eye to travel comfortably across the wall, while the muted base tone prevents the overall effect from becoming overwhelming.

Above: The Bird Garden

There is a modern-classic quality to The Bird Garden. The limited colour range brings tonal consistency, while the natural motifs bring warmth and familiarity. It is a decorative design that rewards close inspection, with moments of detail and texture and an overall sense of serenity. We see The Bird Garden working beautifully in spaces where elegance and ease are paramount. It is a design that has a natural-world elegance and brings the outside in through detail and artistry making it perfect for interiors that value calm, character and enduring style.

Above: Trailing Floral Trellis

The contrast between the structured trellis and the organic sweet-pea florals gives this wallpaper its appeal. It is composed and yet relaxed – the botanical detailing softening the geometry, creating a pattern that is elegant and inviting. We see Trailing Flora Trellis working particularly well in living rooms and dining rooms, where its balance of structure and detail brings polish and character to the space. It is an excellent choice for a bedroom, where the gentle rhythm of the pattern creates a calm, composed backdrop. In a hallway or stairwell, the trellis provides order while the florals add warmth and continuity, drawing the eye through the space.

Above: Deer Woods

Whether used as a statement feature wall or applied across all four walls, Deer Woods delivers a illustrative folk-art look that creates a warm, inviting backdrop. Styled with natural materials, soft textiles and understated furnishings, it offers a versatile and enduring design solution, one that celebrates nature through thoughtful design and timeless appeal.

Above: Midnight Woods

Midnight Woods is immersive, atmospheric and quietly luxurious — a wallpaper that invites us to slow down and sink into its depth. This design lends itself particularly well to living rooms, where it creates a cocooning backdrop ideal for evening relaxation. It is equally effective in a bedroom, where its hushed palette and natural references encourage rest and retreat. We also see it working in a snug, library or reading room, especially in homes that favour layered, characterful interiors over stark minimalism.
