Next up at wallpaperdirect Wallpaper Book Club we are delighted to share with you our latest exclusive collaboration –  Sanderson Wallpaper Edit

We were delighted when Sanderson agreed that we would work together to create a collection of exclusive wallpapers for Wallpaperdirect, embracing all the beauty of the Sanderson designs with some exciting new colours. Our first step was to select some of our favourite designs and with Rebecca Craig, Lead Designer at Sanderson, we went through some iconic designs as well as some of our favourites on fabric, which were not represented on wallpaper. We wanted to ensure we used some of the traditional printing methods that Sanderson use, particularly surface print, which give a wonderful feeling of depth and colour. The result has been magical and together we have produced an exclusive collection of which we are extremely proud and which we hope will result in a whole new generation of Sanderson devotees!

Above: Rose & Peony

An absolute show-stopper of a wallpaper, beautifully surface printed to give a textural, painterly finish. First created as a wallpaper design in 1927, Rose & Peony is a Sanderson classic which celebrates these classic English garden flowers. Shown here in dramatic Cerise and Veridian, we have curated this in four new colour combinations.

Complementary Sanderson paint colours:

Top: Boulder White/ Middle: Rhodera/ Bottom: Burn Black

Above: Hollyhocks

A wonderfully extravagant design on fabric has translated into beautiful wallpapers with a timeless and elegant vintage appeal. Hollyhocks is based on a fabric document in the Sanderson archive, dating back to 1937. The cottage garden favourite flower design is surface printed and is available in five gorgeous colourways.

Complementary Sanderson paint colours:

Above: Woodland Ferns

Originally conceived from detailed botanical studies in pen and ink, this digitally printed design shows the intricate detail of three different species of fern arranged in a repeat composition against a solid, single colour background. This striking design has been given a contemporary, large-scale makeover. There are five sophisticated colourways to choose from.
