We get creative with baubles and wallpaper in our cheery Christmas corner.

In the Christmas corner…

We’re making our very own Christmas corner. Inspired by our Gaynor’s ‘tropical corner’ in her living room (home to parrots, palms and Hawaii snow-shakers), our Christmas corner will mix luxurious wall coverings with gorgeous baubles, with a pinch of seasonal kitsch in the recipe for good measure. We’re off to a fantastic start this year with the help of Lewes’s lovely Wickle who’ve kindly lent us a selection of their finest hand-made tree decorations to get us in the swing of things. A flourish of muted colour and ebullient pattern from Paisley by Farrow & Ball makes the perfect backdrop for a candy-striped teardrop and a baby reindeer in her fetching festive muffler. xmas-decorations-blog_01.jpg A bright white and foil stripe from Albany reflects an effervescent star and contrasts linear with the round of our snowman’s highly desirable snow shaker house. xmas-decorations-blog_03.jpg Albany’s Palace Flock drapes tactile floral garlands in strings of luxurious pearls (a good idea for a Christmas present, no?) lovely enough to tempt a glittery Bambi out of his forest home. xmas-decorations-blog_05.jpg And Bambi’s cousin can barely control herself, flying through the air with joy when presented with a roll of Albany’s Glitz xmas-decorations-blog_07.jpg Bambi makes himself scarce as our lovely little red lorry delivers a new batch of christmas trees. xmas-decorations-blog_09.jpg While overhead that crisp, stripy foil delivers celebratory strings of delicate decorations. xmas-decorations-blog_11.jpg It’s OK, Bambi. The truck’s gone. You’ve got that whole sumptuous flock to yourself now. xmas-decorations-blog_13.jpg Enough with the forest theme. It’s time for Layla Faye’s flower breeze to help get the party started. xmas-decorations-blog_15.jpg I think we’ll be spending lots of time in the Christmas corner this year. Now… where’s the brandy and mince pies?
