Museum pieces
As a would-be museum curator of fashion, a young Christian Marie Marc Lacroix fell instead into the arms of contemporary fashion in Paris, learning his craft in the luxurious embrace of couture houses like Hermes, Guy Paulin and Jean Patou. In the 1980s dramatic, decadent Lacroix set the style for the world.
30 years à la mode
Lacroix’s style is uniquely his own – exuberant, dazzling, colourful and baroque. His use of vivid colour brings equal vibrance and freshness to his wallpapers and fabrics and his couture collections. 2017 will mark 30 years since the creation of the couture house, and Christian Lacroix is to this day relevant, fresh and always à la mode.
