The ultra-chic Audrey Hepburn look

The Queen of chic

London’s National Portrait Gallery hosts a must-see exhibition strictly for the super-styish this Summer. Audrey Hepburn – Portraits of an Icon runs until 18th October. Put on your best black and white outfit and pose along with the Queen of chic at her most glamorous.

Perfectly poised photographs from some of the most famous ever photographers such as Richard Avedon and Irving Penn capture the vivacity and sheer unmatched style of actress and fashion icon Audrey.

70 plus prints document her life from her early days in the West End chorus line to the iconic images shot in her Hollywood heyday. You’ll also see a more candid side shot in later life when she took the role of special ambassador for UNICEF. The portraits from the films for Roman Holiday and Breakfast at Tiffanys are my favourite, oozing crisp monochrome chic.

We’ve got a brilliant Audrey mural and lots of gorgeous black and whites of our own on show at wallpaperdirect. So if you’re looking for a crisp monochrome scheme… look no further. Fresh and cool in summer, and for the winter months you can add lots of textured cushions and soft throws and rugs bringing a cosy, homely feel to your chic. Perfect!
