Way back in 2018 we had an idea that, with our good friends at Sanderson Design Group, we could revisit some of the Morris & Co. designs that we all love and give them a new lease of life by re-colouring them. The result was our first collection, released in 2019, which was a runaway success, and so in 2024 we returned to the archives once more to produce our second collection to provide inspiration for the new generation of Morris fans!

In 2025, to celebrate 100 years of Laura Ashley’s timeless style, we re-worked some of our favourite Laura Ashley prints to beautifully recolour and refresh them in honour of her centenary. These are heritage classics, reimagined in a contemporary palette for today. The result is our capsule collection – a celebration of Laura Ashley, marking 100 years of the iconic British designer who launched what has become a global lifestyle brand.

In 2024 Timothy Wilman collaborated with wallpaperdirect on a new venture, Timothy Wilman Home, creating an exquisite collection of contemporary wallpapers. This new collection draws inspiration from a rich archive of timeless designs, seamlessly blending heritage with modernity and beautifully reflecting today’s interpretation of luxury interiors.
Tim Wilman, the visionary Creative Director and founder of SketchTwenty3, boasts an illustrious career spanning over four decades within the luxury interiors market. Known for his discerning eye for colour, he trained as an apprentice specialising in the art of hand-painted wallpaper. This early immersion in meticulous craftsmanship laid the foundation for his subsequent ventures into the pinnacle of Parisian luxury where he collaborated with elite design houses along the prestigious Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Here, he supplied lavish artworks to the most exclusive companies that provide designs for the likes of YSL and Christian Dior. Tim returned to the UK and went on to become Art Director of Coloroll. In 2000, he founded ArtHouse, one of the worlds leading wallpaper suppliers which he then sold, in 2007. In 2012 Tim set up SketchTwenty3, a studio dedicated to the creation of luxurious wallcoverings.

Founded in 1988, Prestigious has earned an outstanding reputation for the originality and quality of its furnishing fabrics and wallpapers. We were delighted to work together with Sanderson to create our collection of exclusive wallpapers for Wallpaperdirect, embracing all the beauty of the Sanderson designs with some exciting new colours. Our first step was to select some of our favourite designs and with Rebecca Craig, Lead Designer at Sanderson, we went through some iconic designs as well as some of our favourites on fabric, which were not represented on wallpaper. We wanted to ensure we used some of the traditional printing methods that Sanderson use, particularly surface print, which give a wonderful feeling of depth and colour. The result is magical and together we produced an exclusive collection of which we are extremely proud and which we hope will result in a whole new generation of Sanderson devotees!

We discovered Isabelle Boxall, a young British artist and designer, when she came to work for our parent company Brewers in Tunbridge Wells. We were bowled over by her talent and decided to commission from her a unique wallpaper collection, we loved it so much (and so did you!) that we asked her to create a second. These collections showcase her fine drawing skills, taking her inspiration from flowers and insects found in the countryside where she lives, her wallpapers are vibrant and alive with detail.
